July 1, 2016- Leaving for España!

¡Buenos Dias! I am so excited the Spain trip is finally here!!! The airport is always a hassle especially with a big group but we all got through it in an organized fashion. Once we got to our gate and knew our meeting spot, we got a little bit of freedom in the airport. We each got a bite to eat and bought our last minute items for the nine hour plane ride! We boarded the plane then organized our bags while getting comfortable for our long flight to Madrid!

When hearing about a nine hour plane ride, it sounds like such a long time to be in a cramped space on an airplane. Everyone survived the airplane ride even with some of us feeling nauseous and tired. The airplane had a small screen where we could watch movies and tv shows so I watched several movies until I could fall asleep for a couple hours. Overall, the plane ride went smoothly and we all stayed together and safe. We are all so excited to be in Spain and to meet our host families in Salamanca!

One take away from this trip is to definitely sleep on the plane as much as possible so you can have more energy to enjoy España!
